This is an excellent and well made barrel band! It is far superior to the plastic ones that come stock. It comes with its own Allen wrench that to my great surprise and happiness is the same size as the takedown pin for the receiver and stock. This was definitely intentional and shows that JWH knows what they are doing with the 10/22 and are not just some cheap overseas company trying to make a buck on a part for a popular firearm. The machining on it was excellent: rounded edges, no marring, or pitting of the aluminum! If you are like me, you probably are looking at this because you have a stainless 10/22. I am happy to report that the matte aluminum finish on this band matches the stainless 10/22 receiver PERFECTLY. This is definitely a recommend upgrade for both longevity of the rifle and looks!
